Thanksgiving Holiday
Happy Thanksgiving! Zeffon decided to surprise the children with a visit for the holiday! Zaige had been longing to see either his dad or Sabryn for the Thanksgiving break. We all managed to keep the lid on the surprise and boy were the children excited to see their dad! While here, Zeffon, the kids, and I enjoyed our holiday by going to the movies, park, bookstore, eating, and just hanging out around the house. We played basketball and Zeffon reminded me and grandma about playing two square and had a chance to expose the children to the joys of being outside and playing games. Zeffon and Zaige had special one on one time when they went to see Ninja Assassins, playing football, and chilling out at the bookstore. Zaige had been wanting an action book for awhile so he picked up Warriors Into the Wild--as suggested by Sabryn. He's trying to beat Sabryn's record of reading it in just four weeks by one week. He's on chapter four and this is just the second week. Only twenty-one more to go--good luck baby! Overall, we had a blast! It was good seeing Zeffon and the children just loved spending time with their Daddy! After he left I asked the children what was the best thing about their Thanksgiving Holiday. They all agreed on two things that meant the most--seeing daddy and eating all the good food! Funny story---Just before the Thanksgiving holiday Ivory was invited to her friends birthday party. His name is Christian a neighbor that rides the bus with her. Christian's mom told me that he was upset one day after school because Ivory had threatened him that she wouldn't attend his party. You see the story goes that one day while riding the bus home Christian showed Ivory his paper from school that listed all of his favorite things and people and her name wasn't listed and she was livid. He tried to explain to her that he listed his friends in his classroom and couldn't list her name. She abruptly told him that because of this she would not attend his party. I can't say anymore than that's Ivory. She is something else--something special! She did go to his party which was held at the bowling alley. We all went including Pam, Simone, and Zion.
