Halloween

The Fall season started out with Kingson continuing his daddy's tradition of carving a pumpkin. He was so proud that he did it all by himself. He is so independent! The children were undecided about their costumes until the last week before Halloween. Grandma packed them into the car and off they went to Walmart to find something unique and scary. Kingson chose Snake Eyes from GIJoe and after careful thought Zaige decided he wanted to be the Grim Reaper. Ivory did not see anything that suited her fancy so she opted to decline on wearing a costume. If she wanted she still could choose from an array of costumes in her chest that G-mama had given her. For the first year,we would spend Halloween in Dallas. Phaedra and Donna were throwing a Michael Jackson tribute costume party and Tomeka's church was having a Fall Festival. We had been so looking forward to the MJ party. I don't know why? But the fact that I could play dress up was thrilling! I would be Michael and Tomeka was Janet, Ms. Jackson if you're nasty! Donna and Phaedra had done a tremendous job decorating the house! Spider webs, MJ posters, ice sculptures, you name it---it was spootacular! Everyone came dressed to impress. Bubbles, the chimp was even in attendance! The Fall Festival at the church started out slow, but ended up being so much fun! There were moon walks, cake walks, pumpkin roll contest, donut eating contest, water balloon throwing, family obstacle course contest and so much more! FYI--we really won the obstacle course contest but cheating on the church grounds was running rampant!
